Creative Movement

Our Creative Movement class is designed for the youngest dancers — curious, energetic children ages 3 to 4 who are discovering the joy of movement for the first time. Through games, music, and guided exploration, students develop coordination, listening skills, and a natural love of dance. No formal instruction yet — just joyful movement.

Classes are structured to match the developmental needs of young children. Students move to music, follow creative prompts ("be a butterfly," "move like the rain"), and begin to understand concepts like fast and slow, high and low. This class plants the seeds of musicality and body awareness that will serve students throughout their ballet education.

Students will develop

  • Fundamental coordination and spatial awareness
  • Listening to and interpreting music
  • Following direction in a group setting
  • Building confidence and love of movement

Pre-Ballet 1

Pre-Ballet 1 is the introductory year of our Pre-Ballet program, welcoming dancers ages 4 to 5 into the structured world of classical ballet. In a warm, playful environment, students take their very first formal steps — learning correct posture, the first positions of the feet and arms, and the etiquette of the ballet classroom.

This first year focuses on building foundations through joyful, age-appropriate exercises. Students discover the first positions, develop body awareness and proper posture, and learn the courtesy and discipline of classroom etiquette. Musicality is nurtured through play, so that young dancers experience rhythm and expression as a natural part of moving. The Vaganova-based curriculum ensures correct habits are established from the very beginning.

  • Proper posture and alignment
  • Musicality and rhythm through guided play

In Pre-Ballet 2, students deepen their understanding of classical vocabulary while gaining strength and coordination.
